According to production sources, the new trilogy is not related to the Skywalker saga, moviegoers will get a new story. However, no further details were provided.
George Lucas’ Star Wars film series is one of the biggest successes in film history. The films have grossed more than five billion dollars worldwide at the box office since the first production was released in 1977.
The Disney studio is working on many productions related to the Star Wars universe. The film The Mandalorian and Grogu, directed by Jon Favreau, will be released in 2026 with Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver.
