At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Samsung presented new OLED displays that could decorate consumer electronics in the future. These innovative screens allow users to adjust the display size as needed, providing greater flexibility and comfort in use.

One of the main products introduced is the Slidable Flex Duet. The new display can literally be stretched on both sides and thus increase its display area. In the folded state, the display has a diagonal of 8.1 inches, but after unfolding it is possible to obtain an area with a diagonal of up to 12.4 inches. The new technology could be part of hybrid smartphones, tablets and notebook-like work tools where the user requires more flexibility – compact dimensions for carrying and a large display for work.

Another novelty is the Slidable Flex Solo, which expands only on one side. It has a diagonal of 13 inches in its basic state, while it reaches 17.3 inches when expanded. The third innovation is the Slidable Flex Vertical, which can be extended from the 5.1-inch display to a 6.7-inch desktop. Resolution, pixel density, brightness and other parameters have not yet been published by Samsung. All three displays are only functional prototypes that are still several years away from production.
