Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic said in an interview for the Argentinian “La nation” that he feels sorry for those who want him to retire and that they will have to watch him for some time.

– They tell me: you won the gold, you won everything, say “goodbye”. On the other hand, some people think that I should continue as long as I think I can be a favorite for a Grand Slam title. I am closer to these others. Maybe I’ll change my mind, I don’t know, but for now I feel like I want to continue. How many more? Traveling and finding motivation is becoming more and more difficult for me. It’s not easy, especially with children, I don’t want to be away from home for long, but I still have something that drives me. I feel sorry for those who want me to retire, because they will have to watch me for some time – said the 37-year-old Djokovic for “La nation”.

The winner of 24 Grand Slam cups said that deep down he believes that he can reach the 25th trophy from the biggest tournaments.

– In the depths of my soul, I feel that I can win more Grand Slam titles. What still motivates me to compete, especially at slams, is the feeling that I am a candidate to win those trophies. Also, I like to perform in the Davis Cup for Serbia, with whom I won that competition in 2010 – Djokovic added.
