DMM denies claims that Japan has imposed visa requirements on Turkey



The Directorate of Communications’ Center for Combating Disinformation announced that the claim that Japan has imposed a visa requirement on Turkey is not true.

In a statement made on the social media account of the Center for Combating Disinformation, it was stated that “The claim that ‘Japan has imposed a visa requirement on Turkey’, shared on some social media accounts and reported in some press publications, is not true. According to the ‘Visa Exemption Agreement’ between Turkey and Japan, citizens traveling to Japan for tourism and business purposes are exempt from visas for 3 months. Do not believe such claims that are intended to mislead the public.”
