Do not let Romania become Belarus! This is the message sent by the Doina Cornea Foundation in a press release sent to cotidianul.ro and signed by Leontin Horatiu Iuhas.
The said document states:
“The Doina Cornea Foundation, through its president, appeals to all Romanian citizens to wake up now, at the last moment, and not let the country enter into an adventure from which it will no longer be able to come out with a clean face!
Forget now everything that kept some of you at home in the first round of the presidential elections or what made you not vote according to your interests but to choose, influenced by the perfidy of internal and external intelligence services, a person you do not know you know next to nothing about the rest of you.
If we analyze the results of the vote, we can see that just over 10% of all citizens with the right to vote chose Russia in the Romanian elections!
Our only chance now remains a massive mobilization for the second round. Romanians should all go to the polls and, regardless of the candidate they chose in the first round, choose the European way! The parties that, during the election campaign, showed themselves more and more pro-European, should prove at this moment that they are really supporters of European values!
Please make a minimal effort and participate in the second round and vote for Romania’s European path!”
