Do not worry about the possible victory of Trump in the elections

The new Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rute, said today in London that he is not worried about the possibility that the Republican candidate for the president of the USA, Donald Trump, will win the elections that will be held there in less than a month.

“Stop worrying about Trump’s presidency. I know he fully understands and agrees with me that this war in Ukraine is not only about Ukraine, but about the current and future security of the United States,” he said.

After the meeting with British Prime Minister Kier Starmer, Rute said that he is “absolutely convinced” that the USA will remain committed to the security of the European continent.

In the event of Trump’s victory in the presidential elections on November 5, some of the European allies in NATO fear that the US will be less committed to the security of Europe and stop supporting Ukraine militarily.

The former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, who arrived at the head of NATO on October 1, immediately rejected fears about a possible election victory of Trump and then said: “I am not worried, I know both candidates well and I worked with Donald Trump for four years.”

In the American elections, the opponent of Trump is the vice president of the USA, Kamala Harris, from the now ruling Democratic Party.
