Samsung’s latest Galaxy A smartphone has been leaked and the Google TV Streamer is getting its first update. This is the most important Android news of the week.
‘Leaked renders show Samsung Galaxy A26 with new design’
Anyone who keeps an eye on the latest Samsung news knows that the manufacturer is taking a different path with its smartphone designs. From the Galaxy S23 series onwards, Samsung designed phones with separate cameras on the back. We have recently seen a new design for the cameras on many leaked Samsungs, including this Galaxy A26.
The new design gives the A26 a camera island containing three lenses. We expect it to involve a main camera, wide-angle lens and macro camera. The rest of the design also looks modern. The sides are flat and space has been made for the so-called ‘Key Island’.

Unfortunately, the update does not bring any significant improvements. There are no new functions and the TV Streamer is not provided with a new Android security update. According to Google, the update does fix bugs and bring performance improvements.

Real ones power users prefer to purchase a smartphone with the very best specifications. These are users who choose a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL or the Nubia Z70 Ultra that will be released later this month. The phone has not yet been unveiled, but the relatively unknown manufacturer is already sharing the specifications of the screen. And they are very impressive.
With a 6.85-inch display, the Z70 Ultra is a big boy. According to the manufacturer, the screen edges are almost the thinnest on the market, with a thickness of 1.25 millimeters. The display covers about 95 percent of the front.

Do you also suffer from these YouTube bugs? This is what’s going on
YouTube users on Android smartphones are reporting noticeable bugs in the latest app update. The update rolls out with new swiping gestures that should make watching videos better, but it also causes irritations in practice. Users therefore register on Reddit and share the problems with the new YouTube app there.
The first issue has to do with the picture-in-picture player in the YouTube app. Here, a video plays normally while the user scrolls between other videos in the app. Handy, but not if it disappears from view.

Google Home app gets new media player (and much more)
Google is finally giving the media controls in the Home app a new and simpler look. This makes the app more in line with the recognizable Material You style that Google has been using for a long time in software and apps. The redesign introduces new volume controls, a recognizable media player and larger shortcuts.
Starting with the media player. It no longer only shows the artist and the song, but now also shows the album cover of the music you listen to. It also shows which app you are listening in, skip the song, go back a song and pause the music.
