Nilüfer Yanya is, in my eyes, one of the most exciting young names on the British pop scene. With a Turkish father and a Caribbean-Irish mother, the young singer and songwriter is a true child of the multicultural London pop scene.
Nilüfer Yanya is not one to put in a box. On the one hand, she is as classic pop as Adele. On the other hand, unpredictable without being demonstratively experimental.
