- Google is unifying the Calendar and Tasks apps
- Newly, you don’t need to launch another application if you want to view the task overview
- The feature is already gradually being delivered to users
If you use a Google app for planning, you must be annoyed that tasks are handled in a different app than events. Google has improved the calendar interface, so you can now work with tasks directly in the calendar, but for an overall overview you still have to go to another application. This is what Google is changing and Tasks become an integral part of the Calendar.
Google adds to the list of apps in Calendar new iconwhich you will see to-do list as if you were launching the main Tasks app. In the web interface, Google introduced this option almost exactly a year ago it’s now coming to the native Android app as well.
The novelty is gradually being introduced both for Google Workspace subscribers and for users with current accounts. The Tasks app remains as such, after all, it recently underwent a redesign. It is also the only way to place a widget on the desktop. Google does not mention iOS support.
