Docs App for Proton Drive Gets Recommendation Mode

Proton continues to build its Drive suite of productivity tools for Docs, its privacy-focused alternative to Google Docs and Microsoft Word. Latest update by Proton to Docs app with a suggestion mode done. Proton claims this is the first and only encrypted, real-time collaboration feature designed for teams managing sensitive documents to streamline review processes and enable seamless and secure collaboration.

Suggestion mode; It offers functions such as text replacement suggestions, tracked changes, and a way to save a copy of the original version to ensure nothing is accidentally lost during the editing process.

A new public links feature lets you set permissions to read-only and apply an expiration date, giving you more control over shared documents. In the Proton Drive Windows app, you will be able to see all the files that collaborators have shared with you. It will also be possible to synchronize them for offline access.

Since launching Docs in July, Proton has expanded the app’s feature set with options like PDF export, keyboard shortcuts, additional formatting tools, and a word count function.
