Dodik: We will never obey American interests

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, pointed out that he will never give up on Republika Srpska, regardless of how much American officials, such as American diplomat James O’Brien, threaten with sanctions and stressed that Srpska will not obey the American interests, but the interests of its people.

– Their efforts to collapse the Republika Srpska turn into cynical attempts to punish everyone who defends Serbia with sanctions, which are misused. You don’t know when to believe O’Brien, when he said a few days ago that he was not familiar with what was being done, or now when he confirms something. This is nothing new to us – said Dodik in Sitnica near Ribnik.

As he stated, such moves create more and more people who respect the USA less and less, because that is not the way they can build friendships, it is not the way they can build their values ​​here.

– They say without the slightest hesitation that they will deal with all those who do not obey American interests here, and we supposedly do not have to obey our interests. That’s where they’re wrong. We will not obey American interests, but the interests of the Republika Srpska and this nation – stressed Dodik.

According to him, O’Brien is one of those people who created the Dayton Peace Agreement, and his behavior shows that it was a fraud.

– The Dayton Peace Agreement was a fraud for the Serbs. We were supposed to be hooked on the signing, and as soon as it was signed, its collapse and dismantling began. And for what they are doing, they accuse Milorad Dodik, Željka Cvijanović and others who defend the Dayton Agreement. We are not asking for anything else, but to respect the Constitution and the Dayton Agreement – said Dodik.

He stated that ten years ago, when the Republika Srpska began to fight fiercely and rejected proposals that were supposed to devastate it, one of the American high-ranking officials of the State Department told him that more than 400 people had made careers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

– And the essence of that is the satanization of the Serbs. Then he asked me if I really thought I could beat those 400 people who made their life’s careers on demonizing Serbs. They will continue to do so. Among these people are Biden, O’Brien and many others. But neither time nor truth is on their side – pointed out Dodik.
