The Dongfeng Box is a cheerful-looking compact electric hatchback that was introduced in the Netherlands in 2024. It could initially only be ordered as a €23,400 Launch Edition and would later also be available as a cheaper Style (€22,400). The price list of the Dongfeng Box looks slightly different in 2025. The Dongfeng Box Style Edition can indeed be found on the price list, although the entry-level version has cost €23,499 since this year. This means the price has increased by €1,099. Part of this price increase is due to the BPM (€667) that you will pay for a new electric car from 2025. The Launch Edition has had to make way for the Premium Edition. It is just as comfortable as the previous Launch Edition, but it now costs €24,499. That is also €1,099 more than before. Relax and stretch out: that is also possible in a Dongfeng Box. The Style Edition and Premium Edition are not just equipment levels. As a Style Edition, the always 95 hp Dongfeng Box has a 31.4 kWh battery, good for a range of 230 kilometers. The Premium Edition has a 42.3 kWh battery. That package gives the Box a range of 310 kilometers. AC charging is possible with the Style Edition with 3.3 kW, with the Premium Edition with 6.6 kW. DC charging is possible with the entry-level model with 76.8 kW, while the Premium can be fully charged with a maximum of 87.8 kW. Regardless of the variant chosen, the Dongfeng Box is 4.02 meters long and reaches a speed of up to 140 km/h. Equipment Dongfeng Box Premium Edition In terms of equipment, the Premium Edition also beats the Style Edition. It has 17-inch alloy wheels and a 360-degree camera as standard. In the Premium Edition you will also find six instead of four speakers, an electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated driver’s seat and electrically adjustable and folding exterior mirrors. The only free color is called Snow White (white). You pay an additional €399 for the new colors Sparkling Silver Metallic and Sky Blue Metallic. For a Skyblue Metallic painted Dongfeng Box with a contrasting black roof you pay €698 extra, as well as for a Dynamic Purple painted copy with a white roof. More Box fun: a 24/7 roadside assistance service is included in the purchase price, also with the Style Edition. Important: Box without BPM available from stock Important to know: although the Dongfeng Box Style Edition is already on the price list, it can only be officially ordered from the middle of this year. The Premium Edition can already be ordered. The Dutch importer tells AutoWeek that the Dongfeng Box Launch Edition is still (limited) available from stock. These are copies for which you do not pay BPM, as the license plate application was already made in 2024. These stock models will go on sale before 2024 prices.
