Dongseo Foods (CEO Kim Kwang-soo) announced on the 31st that it held the ’17th Maxim Scent of Love’ at Daejeon Dongdo Elementary School (Principal Kang Chang-sook) in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon.

‘Maxim’s Scent of Love’ is Dongseo Foods’ representative Mecenat activity that sponsors cultural assets to youth orchestras. Starting with the Busan Boys’ Home Orchestra in 2008, Dongseo Foods has provided new instruments and supplies to elementary school orchestras across the country for 17 years and improved the performance environment by renovating practice rooms. To date, the total cumulative sponsorship amount amounts to 490 million won.

Daejeon Dongdo Elementary School was selected as the beneficiary of Maxim’s Scent of Love this year. Daejeon Dongdo Elementary School is implementing one instrument education per person for all students. In particular, starting from the 4th grade, all students are members of the Companion Orchestra and are developing a sense of cooperation and accomplishment through group music activities.

On this day, Dongseo Foods delivered new instruments, such as violins and cellos, and music education equipment worth about 38 million won to students at Daejeon Dongdo Elementary School through a musical instrument delivery ceremony, supporting their future dreams.

In addition, world-renowned violinist Dae-mi Kim from Daejeon and members of the Gongju City Chungnam Symphony Orchestra, who participated in the ’14th East-West Coffee Classic’ held at the Daejeon Arts Center on October 30th, the previous day, visited Daejeon Dongdo Elementary School to teach the orchestra members how to play instruments. A master class was held to add meaning.

On this day, violinist Da-mi Kim gave a mini-lecture containing a message of support and encouragement to the students, along with a beautiful performance and received a warm response from the students. In response, the Daejeon Dongdo Elementary School Orchestra responded by playing Dvořák’s symphony ‘From the New World’ to express their gratitude.

“Maxim’s Scent of Love is focusing on providing practical support so that music can accompany and contribute to students’ growth and dreams,” said Choi Sang-in, public relations director at Dongseo Foods. “We will continue to share in various fields of culture and arts and provide support for future dreamers.” “We will continue our activities,” he said.
