“Don’t fail next time”: Jack Black’s band cancels tour after comment on Trump assassination attempt – World

Jack Black, one of the vocalists of the American band Tenacious, canceled the tour, this Tuesday, after Kyle Glass, his stage partner, made a joke about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, on campaign rally last weekend.

During the last concert, this Sunday, in Sydney, Australia, Kyle Glass celebrated his birthday and at the time of the celebration, Jack Black asked him to say a few words: “Don’t fail next time”he said, alluding to the moment when Donald Trump was partially hit by a bullet.

Jack Black did not admit to the comment. “I was shocked by what was said at Sunday’s concert. I will never tolerate any hate speech or encourage political violence in any form,” he said.

After much consideration, I do not feel it is appropriate to continue the tour of Tenacious D, and all future plans are on hold. I thank the fans for their support and understanding,” he explained.

However, Kyle Glass has already apologized on Instagram for what happened: “What I improvised was inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake. NI do not tolerate violence of any kind, in any form, and against anyone. What happened was a tragedy, and I apologize to those I have disappointed and regret any pain I may have caused.”
