There are many types of cheese from many brands in the list of ‘Foods that may endanger health’ announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
“Ahir” brand full-fat dill melted cheese sold in one of the 3-letter chain markets, and “Tarabya” brand full-fat fresh kashar cheese sold in the same market are also on the list.
According to the ministry’s statement, the products in question contain “Natamycin”. Natamycin, also known as Pimaricin, is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections around the eyes.
