Porsche is doubling the model range for the new all-electric Macan
– The first Macan with rear-wheel drive provides high efficiency
– Novi Macan 4S sa do 380 kW (516 KS) snage overboost
– Off-road design package increases everyday usability
– Nadogradnja Porsche Driver Experience-a
The new rear-wheel drive Porsche Macan is immediately available as a new entry point to the all-electric SUV lineup.
It is extremely efficient, offering a combined WLTP range of up to 641 kilometers. The new Macan 4S has an output of up to 380 kW (516 hp) and is positioned at the higher end of the model range. A new off-road design package is also available for all Macan models. In addition, the Porsche Driver Experience has been comprehensively updated.
Porsche has doubled the model range for its first all-electric SUV. While the focus for the rear-wheel drive Macan was primarily on high efficiency and range, the new Macan 4S will fill the gap between the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo models. Like the models introduced in early 2024, the 4S is equipped with the electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) system, which distributes drive power between the front and rear axles about five times faster than a conventional four-wheel drive system.
Macan: 100 kWh battery and highly efficient energy electronics
The new Macan, with which Porsche enters the world of fully electric SUVs, also receives energy from a high-voltage battery with a gross energy content of 100 kWh. Drive is provided exclusively by the rear axle engine used in the Macan 4 model, with a diameter of 210 millimeters, an active length of 200 mm and a power of 250 kW (340 hp). The electric motor has a 480 amp pulse inverter (PWR) that uses highly efficient silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor material to provide greater efficiency. It significantly reduces the switching losses in the PWR and enables higher switching frequencies.
In combination with Launch Control, the Macan produces up to 265 kW (360 hp) of overboost power and a maximum torque of 563 Nm. From the start, the car reaches 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and has a maximum speed of 220 km/h. By giving up four-wheel drive, the Macan is 110 kilograms lighter than the Macan 4 and therefore requires less electricity to drive. This results in a combined WLTP range of up to 641 km.
Macan 4S: powerful electric motors and PASM as standard
The Macan 4S has a new motor on the rear axle and a powerful 600 amp SiC pulse inverter. The electric motor has a diameter of 230 millimeters and an active length of 150 millimeters. Together with the front-axle motor also used in the Macan 4 and Turbo model, this results in a system output of 330 kW (448 hp) with a short boost to 380 kW (516 hp). With Launch Control, the maximum torque is 820 Nm. The performance figures are correspondingly impressive: with Launch Control, the Macan 4S accelerates from 0 – 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds as standard and has a top speed of 240 km/h. It has a combined WLTP range of up to 606 km. The Macan 4S is equipped as standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) electronic damping control. Adaptive air suspension with leveling and height adjustment, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) and rear axle steering allow the chassis to be further optimized for increased performance and comfort.
The two new models possess all the qualities of the second-generation Macan, including a progressive, timeless design with aerodynamically optimized range (cw = 0.25). The 800-volt Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture enables DC charging capacity of up to 270 kW. The high-voltage battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in about 21 minutes at a suitable fast charging station.
New paint, new wheels, new off-road design package
A new exterior color, Slate Gray Neo, is now available for all Macan models. The 20-inch wheel on the Macan S model has been added to the wheel portfolio. A new off-road design package is also available as an option for all models, further enhancing the Macan’s everyday usability. Difficult dirt roads and particularly steep ascents and descents can be mastered even more easily than before. The modified geometry of the front bumper increased the approach angle to 17.4 degrees, depending on the model (with air suspension at a specially raised level). Combined with the adaptive air suspension, the off-road design package also increases ground clearance by 10mm to 195mm in normal setting.
Porsche offers a package in two colors: in Vesuvius gray and in the color of the exterior. The front bumper, side skirts, diffuser panels and roof rails are then painted to match. Matching 21-inch off-road wheels in Vesuvius gray are also offered. For customers who choose the variant of the off-road design package in the exterior color of the car, the side slats are also painted in the same color. Roof rails can be ordered in black, silver or turbonit (Turbo only).
