The game Dredge by the independent studio Black Salt Games went on sale in March 2023 and was well received by players and reviewers, quickly gaining enough popularity to interest film producers from the Story Kitchen studio, which started working on it a few months ago film adaptation. It was recently announced that this title will also be available on iOS devices in December.
Dredge is a rather unusual mix of genres, combining elements of a fishing simulator, RPG and adventure horror inspired by the works of HP Lovecraft. In the game, we play the role of a fisherman fishing among the islands of the Marrow archipelago. However, it quickly turns out that both the sea depths and the inhabitants of the surrounding islands hide many dark secrets. Everything indicates that the iOS edition will be a fairly faithful port of the original known from PC and consoles, with a user interface and control system adapted to use touch screens.
The premiere of Dredge for iOS is announced on December 18. The game will be available for download from the App Store for free, but most likely we will be able to test only a fragment of it without spending any money, and unlocking the full version will require a one-time fee.
