Less than two weeks after the first kilometers of the A7 highway built with funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), the Ministry of Transport will open tomorrow, November 20, road traffic on a new lot between Buzau and Râmnicu Sărat. The 32 km section is of increased importance given that Râmnicu Sărat does not have a bypass belt, and the A7 will also have the role of reducing traffic congestion in the city.

“On Wednesday, November 20, road traffic will be opened on Lots 1 and 2 of the A7 Buzău – Focșani highway, more precisely between the Buzău Nord road junction (kilometer 3+920 meters) and the Râmnicu Sărat road junction (kilometer 34+880 meters). The Buzău Nord road junction will ensure the connection with both DJ 203K and DN2 (through a connection road of approximately 6 kilometers), and the Râmnicu Sărat road junction will ensure the connection with DN 22”, it is stated in a statement sent on Monday by Infotraffic Center.

In total, from tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20, it will be possible to travel on a total of 59 km of the 320 km between Ploieşti and Paşcani on the A7, in highway mode.

“Until the end of the year, we will drive the entire distance of 82 km between Buzău and Focşani and we will open another 39 km related to Lots 1 and 2 of the Ploiesti – Buzău Highway”, said Irinel Ionel Scrioşteanu, State Secretary at the Ministry Transportation.

What inaugurations have already taken place on the A7 and what else the Ministry of Transport promises until the end of the year

Lot 4 of the A7 Buzău – Focşani highway was inaugurated last week, a segment of approximately 11 kilometers, between the towns of Mândreşti and Focşani.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu, declared, at the beginning of November, in Ploiesti, that two more sections of the A7 highway, respectively Dumbrava – Mizil and Mizil – Pietroasele, totaling about 50 kilometers, will be put into circulation in December .

“In December, both sections will be put into circulation. And the section from Dumbrava to Mizil and from Mizil to Pietroasele, the second, will be put into circulation. I have bigger emotions, I tell you honestly, about lot 2, the one that I think is within the radius of Buzău county, because there we have another passage and there is another income board, which is like that, within the limit, but I have all the insurances in this moment that we will be able to put both into circulation”, stated Minister Grindeanu, in a press conference, on November 16.
