Drupal agencies see opportunities in the healthcare and financial markets

Agencies that specialize in Drupal CMS see opportunities in the healthcare and financial markets and should delve further into the automotive and telecom markets.

Drupal is strongly represented in non-profit and government, as well as in education.

In most other sectors, the open source CMS is not strongly represented and at most sees market shares of a maximum of ten percent. For example, WordPress, Sitecore and Adobe Experience Manager are stronger there.

This is evident in the annual Drupal Business Survey, an international survey among seventy specialized agencies. The research, published at the beginning of this week, was set up by the agencies React Online, Exove and Craftmore.

The high degree of information security and data ownership are the main reasons why organizations are switching to Drupal for their websites. The agencies surveyed see a cautiously optimistic trend in the expected turnover from this CMS work for 2025.

Half of the respondents indicate that they work with AI for clients, and about a quarter have launched websites that contain some form of AI. A completely updated version of Drupal is expected at the beginning of 2025. With this version, anyone can build a website without any technical knowledge due to deep AI integrations.
