During the holidays in St. Petersburg, public transport was used 19 million times

Residents and guests of St. Petersburg used public transport about 19 million times during the holidays. This was reported by the press service of Smolny.

The most popular type of transport among passengers is the city metro. There, St. Petersburg residents and tourists made 8.2 million trips. At the same time, buses transported more than 6.2 million people, trams and trolleybuses – 4.5 million passengers.

According to the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, the transport block coped with the New Year’s load. The head of the city added that more than 134 thousand people used the metro on New Year’s and Christmas nights.

Earlier it became known what the price of travel on public transport in St. Petersburg will be in 2025.
