Dynamo scored two goals from the spot and defeated Rubin Kazan

Before the break for the national teams, the “blue and white” suffered two painful defeats in a row: from Spartak (2:3) in the Cup, conceding two goals at the very end, and from CSKA (1:2) in the championship. After the meeting with the army team, Dynamo representatives did not hide: the team’s results leave much to be desired. Both the club’s leaders and the head coach of the Muscovites, Czech Marcel Licka, spoke about this.

Immediately before the meeting with Rubin, Lichka expressed hope that his players would show character in the upcoming match: “I am sure that today we will show a good level of fight and spirit for the game,” Lichka noted.

Well, Rubin has noticeably improved lately: in the previous seven rounds the club won four victories, gaining 11 points out of a possible 21. However, the Kazan team approached the match with Dynamo with serious personnel problems. In particular, Rubin’s top scorer, Albanian Mirlind Daku, was forced to miss the match due to injury.

Dynamo already led 2:0 in the first half thanks to two goals from the penalty spot: first, Konstantin Tyukavin, who had not scored since September 22, scored, and then the Brazilian Arthur. Paraguayan Fabian Balbuena and substitute Yaroslav Gladyshev sent two more goals into the Rubin net – 4:0.

There were some unexpected results over the weekend. In this sense, two meetings are worth highlighting: “Khimki” with “Lokomotiv” and “Spartak” with “Krasnodar”.

The result of the meeting at the arena in the Moscow region, where Khimki hosts their rivals, can confidently be called sensational. The hosts won a championship match for the first time since the beginning of August, breaking a nine-game losing streak. Three points were brought to one of the outsiders of the championship by a double from ex-Zenit and Spartak midfielder Zelimkhan Bakaev – 2:0.

In turn, Lokomotiv suffered a defeat after six wins in a row in all tournaments and slipped to third place. But at the end of this week, the “railroad” team will have to travel to the current national champion “Zenith”.

– We didn’t show our best side against Khimki – this is a good lesson for us. We need to analyze the errors. “You can’t play like that,” Lokomotiv head coach Mikhail Galaktionov did not hide his emotions. – We should have turned the tide of the meeting, but, unfortunately, this did not happen. There were a lot of defects in the programs. The pause in the championship knocked us out of rhythm. We hope that the settings that were there remain, and we will continue to develop them.

In turn, Khimki coach, Spaniard Frank Ortiga, praised his players: “I congratulate the team on an important victory. Our efforts were finally rewarded. We played very consistently, and this was in a meeting against the best club in Russia. We must continue to try to please our fans.”

As for the match between Spartak and Krasnodar, the Muscovites once again disappointed their fans. The “red-whites” conceded three unanswered goals (0:3): Kevin Lenini from Cape Verde, Brazilian Victor Sa scored, and Paraguayan Jesus Medina sent the ball into his own goal. Spartak has one victory and two defeats in the last five RPL meetings. It’s no surprise that fans booed their team after their disastrous performance against Krasnodar. However, according to the head coach of the Serbian team in the capital, Dejan Stankovic, no disaster occurred.

The capital team recovered from two defeats in a row: from Spartak in the Cup and CSKA in the Premier League

– I take responsibility for the result. Yes, he’s bad, but it’s not the end of the world. We dominated at certain moments, there were chances that were not taken. We must give credit to the opponent – they have a very strong team. If we talk about the reaction of fans, then in big clubs there is always pressure. The fans are always right,” Stankovic said.

Well, the Krasnodar team continues to rock: the team won nine matches. “Krasnodar” is only the fifth club in the history of the Russian championship that can boast of such a series.

– I really liked the team’s attitude: they played boldly and aggressively. The away victory over Spartak is a great result for us. However, you cannot have your head in the clouds and fall into euphoria. With only 12 rounds behind us, no one is going to relax,” Krasnodar helmsman Murad Musaev emphasized at a press conference.
