Nothing presents Ear (open) sports earphones
Wireless earbuds come in all shapes and sizes. The most popular are the in-ear earbuds – with rubber tips for the best fit – and the semi-in-ear earbuds – without tips. Not everyone is a fan of earbuds that go in the ear, but those that don’t can sometimes get stuck. Nothing’s new Ear (open)’s are supposed to be the solution.
For the suggested retail price of 149 euro you get earbuds that are strikingly designed in Nothings own style. For example, the stems are partly transparent and the weight on the stem that goes around your ear is silver. For now, they are only available in this white color scheme. Due to the larger form factor, the included charging case is also larger. This has a transparent top and white bottom.
The Ear (open)’s have a battery size of 64 mAh per earbud. The charging case adds another 635 mAh to this. In total, this provides a battery life of 30 hours. The earbuds themselves last eight hours before they need to be put in the case. The charging case charges with the included USB-C cable.
The earbuds control your media by touching the side. This way you can also answer incoming phone calls. The microphones on board are assisted by AI for the best quality and during an intensive workout or rain shower you don’t have to worry. The Ear (open) is splash-proof with IP54.
The Nothing earbuds have 14.2-millimeter drivers that – in combination with the manufacturer’s ‘Bass Enhance algorithm’ – should play clear low tones. You can get the most out of the earbuds if you install the Nothing X app on your smartphone, such as an equalizer and ChatGPT support, provided you use a Nothing phone.
