Earthquake at FED: 9 employees were detained on charges of sexual harassment – Last Minute Economy->World News

The US Federal Reserve Board of Directors referred nine personnel to the disciplinary board as a result of 11 sexual harassment complaints received between 2020-2023. While it was stated that four employees were dismissed, it was stated that four employees were given a “last chance” warning due to sexual harassment, and the other four employees were dismissed due to “sexual harassment and other work concerns”. The board shared details of three sexual harassment complaints. It was stated that no action was taken in two cases, and another was against a person who was not a Fed employee.

Following the Wall Street Journal’s report published in November 2023, Fed Supervision and Regulation Director Michael Gibson and senior deputy director Marta Chaffee sent warnings to staff stating that sexual harassment and retaliation were unacceptable. “Sexual harassment and retaliation have no place on any team,” Chaffee said.
