The turmoil in global markets has also begun to affect US markets. Billions of dollars in losses have emerged.
The increasing possibility of the US economy entering a recession continues to create a negative atmosphere in the markets. While there were sharp declines in world markets, shares of major companies crashed at the opening of the US stock exchanges.
In the US, Microsoft shares fell 4.6 percent, Alphabet 6 percent, Tesla 12 percent, Meta Platform 6.8 percent and Amazon 8.3 percent.
In the US, shares of major banks fell, with JPMorgan losing 3.8 percent, Morgan Stanley losing 4 percent, and BofA losing 5.9 percent.
The Dow Jones index fell 2.88 percent, the S&P 500 fell 4.18 percent and the Nasdaq fell 5.96 percent.
