The youth ecological association “Envision Eco Serbia” recently in Valjevo organized eco-workshops within the project “Eco Serbia”. “Eco-conscious school” in Valjevo is also the third city they visited as part of the second cycle of the “Eco Serbia” project, where three ecological workshops were successfully organized at the “Andra Savčić” elementary school. The aim of the project is to raise the awareness of young people about ecology, environmental protection and the importance of nature conservation.
Through interactive discussions and fun quizzes, students had the opportunity to learn more about the importance of local biodiversity in an interesting way.
Special attention is paid to the presentation of the natural resources of this region, including the Gradac river and its unique ecosystem, which forms a valuable ecological unit and an indispensable part of Valjevo’s natural heritage. Also, students were discussed with the key environmental challenges that the city is facing, such as the problem of pollution, as well as possible solutions such as energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources.
The workshops attracted a lot of attention and enthusiasm among the students, who showed their willingness to acquire new knowledge and actively get involved in the preservation of the environment. These workshops once again confirmed how important it is to work with young people to develop awareness of the importance of preserving natural resources and improving the ecological future.
