EDPR’s 3.5% drop pushes PSI into the red – Stock Exchange

The Lisbon stock exchange closed lower this Wednesday, registering a greater fall than most European markets, penalized by the sharp fall of EDP Renováveis, which sank around 3.5%.

The national benchmark index, the PSI, fell 0.93% to 6,754.67 points, with 12 of its 16 securities in the red, in a session in which investors are focused on the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision.

EDPR was the heavyweight that depreciated the most, falling 3.48% to 15.26 euros, while parent company EDP fell 1.35% to 4.028 euros.

Still among the falls of the companies with the greatest presence in the index, Sonae fell 1.44% to 0.955 euros and Jerónimo Martins fell 0.83% to 16.72 euros.

Galp and BCP prevented further falls for the PSI, falling 0.29% and 0.51%, respectively.
