Campania #PeBune? ** celebrates 7 years of release this year. During this period, the main objective of the campaign was to inform and educate Romanian road users about the free parking spaces dedicated to disabled people in public and private parking lots.
The target audience of the campaign is drivers and pedestrians without disabilities, as well as future drivers who are unaware of the need for disabled people to park in marked places in shopping centers, parks or other public places.
This year the campaign is supported by new partners: Academia Titi Aur and Renault Group Romania. With their help, the campaign message is promoted to a new audience.
“A responsible society starts with respect for those around you. campaign #PeBune? it reminds us that parking spaces for people with disabilities are more than a marking on the asphalt – they are a necessity for these people to have access to a normal life. It is the duty of every driver to understand that the abusive occupation of these spaces means an additional barrier for someone who already faces daily challenges.
Titi Aur Academy supports this initiative and encourages all road users to show respect and empathy. Road safety means more than traffic rules, it means caring for all people in our community,” he stated Titi Aurthe founder of the Titi Aur Academy.
Campania #PeBune? continues to receive the support of its partner LIDL Romania, which places stickers with the campaign’s visual and message at the dedicated parking spaces throughout the store network: People with disabilities don’t want dedicated parking, but they need it. Thanks to this partnership, Motivation organizes activations and seminars in the following period to educate and inform students, drivers, future drivers and all road users, regarding the right to an active and independent life for all road users.
And this year, thanks to the support of the network Cinema City Romania, the video clip will be seen on the screens of 255 cinemas in the network, from 21 cities in the country.
“Education is a lasting process and it starts from the first years of life. Just as an adult builds his life principles and shapes himself on the education received during the 7 years at home, so we hope that we will also be able to educate through the campaign #PeBune?which this year celebrates the first 7 years of implementation. We aim to, year after year, reach people who do not know the real need of people with disabilities to park in the places dedicated to them. Through the activation of the campaign in the parking lots of partner stores, we found that many road users do not know that wheelchair users, as well as people with other types of disabilities, can also be drivers. Even if they are only passengers, disabled people have the right to use the parking spaces dedicated to them. By informing the public about this right, we want to build, even with small steps, an inclusive society that respects the rights of all citizens in the community in which they live.”he stated Monica Tăutulthe campaign coordinator.
According to the data provided to the Motivation Foundation, year by year, by the Romanian Auto Registry, between January 2012 and July 2024, at the national level were registered over 9100 vehicles adapted for drivers and passengers with disabilities.
