Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdellatty discussed efforts to end the ceasefire in Gaza after a cease-fire agreement was reached in Lebanon.

We have discussed the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and we hope that this agreement will lead to a real ceasefire and its effect will extend to the Gaza Strip. End this humanitarian suffering as soon as possible,” the Qatari prime minister told a joint press conference in Egypt’s new administrative capital, Cairo Governorate.

“We spoke about the sincere and tireless Egyptian-Qatari efforts that have continued for more than a year to quickly reach an agreement that will guarantee an immediate ceasefire and stop the bloodshed of the fraternal Palestinian people with the release of all hostages and a large number,” said Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdellatti. “

Note that after almost a year of conflict, Israel’s ceasefire with the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has started.

The agreement entered into force at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday local time in Lebanon.

The cease-fire will bring a permanent end to Israeli attacks on Lebanese towns and cities and a permanent end to more than a year of fighting in southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
