Eid and Puja holidays are increasing, proposals are being made in the advisory council

Next year, the government is planning to make Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azhar holidays five days and Autumn Durga Puja two days. The proposal in this regard may come up in the advisory council meeting tomorrow Thursday.

According to sources from the Office of the Chief Adviser and the Ministry of Public Administration, the Ministry of Public Administration has sent the list of public holidays for 2025 to the Cabinet for approval. It has been proposed to fix two Eid holidays as five days and Durga Puja holiday as two days.

It will be officially announced after the approval of the Advisory Council meeting.

By the way, there are usually three days off for Eid and one day for Puja. But some years it was extended by executive order. This year also Durga Puja holiday was extended by one day by executive order.
