Eight Läänerantna women gathered in an initiative group against the injustice and harassment of the local government in the last few years to show that the municipality can be managed in a different way, and invite them to join the “Terve valla” forum.

“Women were fed up with serious men making decisions behind closed doors,” said Triin Raave, former manager of the Virtsu community center and member of the initiative group, to Lääne Elu. “We still live in a democratic country.”

Raave noted that as a resident of Virtsu, he has perceived a sense of community, which has been overshadowed by the anger of the municipality leaders for the past two years. “Our people deserve to be listened to and included,” said Raave.
