Steam reviews for No Mans Sky are now rated “Highly Positive”, both in terms of new reviews and all reviews since the game’s launch, meaning that 80 percent of all reviews are now positive. Many games that disappointed players at launch have not managed to turn their situation around in the same way that No Mans Sky did. Fredrik Eriksson, editor at FZ, says that developer Hello Games showed a strong commitment after the game’s criticized debut by continuously releasing content-rich updates.
– One should certainly not belittle the condition and break promises at the release, but Hello Games has acted almost flawlessly after that fiasco. Good, many, relevant and free updates. An incredible comeback, but of course it’s sad that a comeback would be needed to begin with.
The next threshold the game needs to clear is to get 95 percent positive reviews for an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating.
Hello Games next game, Light No Firehas a similar concept to No Mans Sky but with a fantasy world that becomes unique to your gaming experience. However, there have been no updates to the game since it was announced last year. Hello Games seems to be more careful about building up expectations before the game has anything groundbreaking to offer.
