After the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Sebastian Hotz, alias El Hotzo, posted two controversial social media posts. As a result, RBB is now ending its collaboration with the comedian and presenter.
The RBB has decided to end its collaboration with Sebastian Hotz, alias “El Hotzo” at Fritz until further notice. The broadcaster announced this on Tuesday. El Hotzo will no longer host the show “Theoretisch cool”. The RBB is thus reacting to the posts published by Sebastian Hotz on the platform “X” (formerly Twitter) after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
El Hotzo on X: Trump “unfortunately just missed”
RBB-Program director Katrin Günther: “His statements there are not compatible with the values that the RBB stands for. We are therefore ending our collaboration with immediate effect until further notice and have informed the author accordingly.”
After the attempted assassination of the former US President, El Hotzo wrote two posts on “X”. In one, he compared Donald Trump to “the last bus” and “unfortunately just missed it”. He also wrote: “I think it’s absolutely fantastic when fascists die (sic)”. Hotz later deleted both posts.
Sebastian Hotz posts daily on various social topics in a satirical and sarcastic tone. He has around 700,000 followers on X and 1.4 million on Instagram.
