Eldor joins Init as part of strategic plan

Eldor A/S and Eldor UK Ltd. becomes part of the international group Init as part of Init Norway AS.

It is happening as part of a plan for growth both for the Eldor companies and Init.

Norwegian Eldor A/S and Scottish Eldor UK Ltd., as of the fourth of July, have been acquired by the international group Init, which is a leading supplier of industrial IT and automation services. Eldor specializes in control and security systems, telecommunications and industrial IT, and was founded by Bernt Eldor and Jørund Sæten in 2006.

– We have established ourselves as a significant player within control and security systems with a particular strength in helping companies to optimize their alarm systems. We will constantly develop as a company. That is why we are happy to become part of Init. It marks a significant milestone for Eldor, and it is an important strategic step for us in our goal of future growth, says Børge Richard Kolstad, CEO of Eldor Holding.

The companies Kairos Technology and Blue Unit are not part of the acquisition and will continue to be included Eldor Holding.

Continues as before

Eldor maintains its current activities, including work and project methods. At the same time, the management continues with Gisle Ersdal and Carl Townsend as day-to-day managers. There will also be no immediate changes in day-to-day operations, with Eldor’s total of 35 employees in Norway and Great Britain staying at the respective locations in Stavanger and Aberdeen respectively.

Bernt Eldor founded Eldor A/S in 2006 and continues his work in the company after the acquisition.

We already have the right employees and the right specialist skills in our company. What we achieve by becoming part of Init is that we become part of a large international corporate structure with a wide network and resources that can help us improve our services to existing customers and reach a wider market. Our combined expertise will undoubtedly bring new and innovative solutions to the energy sector, says Børge Richard Kolstad.

International cooperation

With the acquisition of Eldor, Init strengthens its offerings to the energy industry and at the same time expands its presence in Norway and Scotland. With Eldor’s entry into the group, Init now has approximately 690 employees spread over locations in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia, Spain, Ireland and Great Britain.

– Eldor brings considerable experience and specialized knowledge within control and security systems, which complements our existing capabilities perfectly. We look forward to working closely with Eldor’s talented team to drive innovation and deliver exceptional value to our customers in the energy sector. We are proud to have them on board, says Alexander Risøy, CEO of Init Norway.
