Electric buses “Rzhevka” to be launched in St. Petersburg in September

New transport will increase the level of public comfort.

The first batch of Rzhevka electric buses will be launched in St. Petersburg in September 2024. This was announced by Andrey Lyzin, General Director of St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise Passazhiravtotrans, at the strategic session “Digitalization of the St. Petersburg Transport Industry”.

The park construction work will be completed by 2025. The construction of the facility will take place in four stages. During the final stage, the park territory will be improved. Its capacity will be 400 electric buses.

“Vedomosti” with reference to Lyzina they reportthat during the examination the capacity of the fleet was adjusted to 385 electric buses.

As of July 17, 28 units of electric transport have been contracted in St. Petersburg. Earlier, it became known that 28 Sirius electric buses will hit the streets of the Northern capital in the near future. In addition, St. Petersburg announced plans to purchase buses and trams for 1.5 billion rubles.
