Electric car manufacturers are already grappling with Trump’s next moves

Companies engaged in the production of electric cars and batteries called on Trump not to end tax incentives for the sale and production of electric vehicles, Reuters reported.

The Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA), whose members include Rivian LG, Tesla, Uber, Lucid and Panasonic, said production tax credits have led to massive job growth in states like Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan and Georgia. The union warned that eliminating these manufacturing and consumer tax credits would reduce the value of investments made and hurt American job growth.
