TREBINJE – “Elektroprivreda Republika Srpska” contributes the most to the stability of the republic’s budget because it annually pays about 400 million KM to workers and the state through taxes, contributions and concession fees, and this company, as a holding company, will perform positively this year, said the general director of ERS- and Luka Petrović.
“I believe that with 8,900 employees, we are the system that contributes the most to the stability of the budget of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, and it will remain so”Petrović said.
When it comes to the current year, the head of the ERS admitted that this is one of the worse hydrological years, which is confirmed by the fact that the production at the Drina hydroelectric power plants and the HPP at Vrbas has decreased.
“Hydroelectric power plants on Trebišnjica are balanced according to the plan, but autumn is difficult, which means that they will not achieve the planned plan”Petrović said.
When it comes to the thermal power plants in Gack and Ugljevik, he stated that there is a significant decline and that production is delayed by 14 percent.
“It is obvious that we cannot make a big profit, our goal is for ‘Elektroprivreda Republika Srpska’ as a holding company to operate positively, which I have no doubt, this year, but thermal power plants will operate negatively, because they had many difficulties regarding the quality of coal and increased overburden in the mining pits”Petrović said, and added that he expects ERS to remain positive this year, which would be the fifth year in a row of positive business.
“Last year was the best since the establishment of ‘Elektroprivreda'”, recalled Petrović, stating that an additional reorganization of the electricity trade was carried out. Roe deer
