In early 2024, One UI 6.1 became one of the biggest new releases thanks to the inclusion of many AI-powered features, in the second half of the year it introduced Samsung One UI 6.1.1 interface with Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
One UI 6.1.1 interface design:
The One UI 6.1.1 interface did not bring any changes to the user interface, as Samsung had already redesigned some aspects of the One UI interface with version 6.0 in 2023, and this update was not well received by users, however, Samsung did not address user complaints in the One UI 6.1.1 interface.
One UI 6.1.1 interface features:
Several new AI features have been introduced to Galaxy with the One UI 6.1.1 update, and the features introduced with the One UI 6.1 update have also been improved. Here are the notable AI features and improvements to Galaxy:
- Portrait Studio: Convert portraits into different styles like sketch, watercolor, and 3D cartoon.
- Sketch to Image: Transform simple drawings into works of art using AI and machine learning. Can be used with new drawings and those drawn on existing images.
- Suggested Replies: Provide quick, context-based replies to messages received on the Galaxy Z Flip cover screen by analyzing chat history.
- Interpreter: Updated the Translator feature to include dual-screen mode for foldable phones and a listening mode, allowing you to have conversations with other people in different languages by converting speech to text and translating it in real time.
- Composer: Create emails, comments, and more based on user-submitted keywords. Users can choose the tone of messages in social media apps, Galaxy AI can analyze old posts and automatically detect the intended tone.
- PDF Overlay Translation: Copy, translate and summarize PDF files opened in Samsung Notes app.
- Google Gemini Integration: Ability to replace Google Assistant with Google Gemini if the user wishes.
- Live Translate Third-Party App Support: Support instant translation feature for some third-party chat apps.
- Instant Slow-Mo Clips: In addition to slowing down videos in the Gallery app when you long-press the screen, One UI 6.1.1 introduces the option to save the slowed-down portion of the video as a separate file.
- Galaxy AI Wallpapers: AI wallpapers support for the cover screen of Galaxy Z Flip phones.
- Samsung Notes: Voice notes added in the Samsung Notes app can be transcribed, translated, and summarized. Before One UI 6.1.1, these features were only available for voice recordings in the Voice Recorder app.
