emphasis on trust and teamwork in Winter 2024-25 campaign

For almost 150 years, leading ski brand Helly Hansen has been trusted by professionals, using their insights and experience to create equipment that can perform at the highest level. As the official clothing supplier of the Norwegian National Alpine Ski Team – Team Telenor Alpine Norway, Helly Hansen designers work closely with them to provide them with equipment they can rely on to stay safe and perform well at high speed and in tough conditions. This winter season, the Norway-based brand is highlighting this partnership in a new international campaign, showing that pushing yourself to the limit is not possible without confidence in yourself, your equipment and the team around you.

For professional alpine skiers, the first hour on the mountain is essential; it sets the tone for training and race day and ultimately allows them to go harder and faster. In a short film that is part of the campaign, two-time World Cup winner Kajsa Vickhoff Lie describes her perfect first hour. “The teammates, the coaches and the support staff all working together for the same goal” is what gives her the confidence, energy and enthusiasm to push her own limits and perform well. She explains that without the support of her team to address and overcome her insecurities, she would not be able to trust herself and her instincts when she goes through the starting gates.

Just as important as trusting the team is having the right equipment to rely on it. That allows professional athletes to win races. Helly Hansen designers work closely with the alpine team during design, testing and feedback rounds to achieve the best possible equipment. To further expand this international campaign for the season, the brand is launching the film that highlights this creative journey. As Vickhoff Lie says in the film: “The equipment just has to work so I can focus all my energy on skiing.”

“The core of Helly Hansen is working with professionals,” says Louise Micolon, Product Manager Ski at Helly Hansen. “They are at the heart of the evolution of the sport, and they can see how the sport is developing and help us ask the right questions.” Andrea Borgersen Hulbak, Product Specialist at Helly Hansen, adds: “Knowing how hard the athletes put the equipment to the test inspires
us to also progress in what we do.”

With innovation at its core, Helly Hansen continues to make gear that professionals can rely on, and for Winter 2024-25 the new Kvitfjell Race Insulated Jacket is a direct result of the collaboration and feedback from the Norwegian National Alpine Ski Team. With a nod to Norwegian heritage in its design, this new award-winning jacket brings together innovative technologies and pro-influenced features.

We are honored to work with Team Telenor Alpine Norway, and their experience and expertise continue to motivate us to deliver professional equipment that exceeds their expectations,” says Joumana Løvstad, Chief Marketing Officer at Helly Hansen. “In this new campaign, we wanted to emphasize not only the trust we have as partners in the team, but also how essential trust is for professional skiers to perform at their best. We are excited to officially kick off the alpine ski season with this campaign, showing how this trust enables professional athletes to realize their ambitions throughout the season.”
