Energy-efficient aluminum systems in a mountain cottage

On the slopes of Zlatibor near Braneški brdo, architect Nikola Martinović from N Martin architectural bureau designed a one-story weekend house that fits perfectly into the natural environment. This project stands out for its innovative use of large openings and glass surfaces that allowed maximum penetration of natural light and created a sense of connection between the interior space and the exterior landscape.

“Large openings are not typical for mountain houses, but we are with technical support of the Alumil company and their system solutions, we managed to implement them in a way that is both energy efficient and visually impressive,” says Martinović.

Project solutions included dividing the house into two functionally different parts – quiet and noisy. Large glass openings contributed to the airy atmosphere, providing natural light and a view of the nature of Zlatibor.

The architecture of the cottage is the result careful balancing between form and functionwhereby a composition was created that encompasses both aesthetic and practical value.

“Cooperation with clients is key to a successful project,” Martinović points out, stressing the importance of patience and mutual trust. It is precisely through this process that projects are born they push the boundaries in architectureproviding long-lasting and functional objects, perfectly integrated into the context of the environment.
