Energy system for EXPO 2027: Contract worth 153 million euros

The construction of a three-generation plant for heating, cooling and supplying electricity to facilities within the PPPPN National Football Stadium was entrusted to the company Energotehnika-Južna Bačka with 38 subcontractors. The value of the contract is around 153 million euros, and these companies were the only ones to compete in the tender.

The portal eKapija states that the new plant will to heat objects in the EXPO 2027 complexincluding the fairgrounds, the National Stadium, the 100,000m shopping center2accommodation facilities on 165,000m2children’s institution and school, hotel and Aquatic Center.

Remote cooling system the fairgrounds, the National Stadium and the shopping center will be supplied. The trigenerative plant will use natural gas as the primary fuel and gas oil as the backup fuel.

The documentation states that the contractor is obliged to build a fully functional system for the delivery of heating and cooling energy, as well as electricity for distribution to the network. The system must function automatically with minimal maintenance, enabling continuous operation 24 hours a day throughout the year.
