DAPURPACUID – Racer Leon’s anxiety over his absence from rallying and sprint rallies throughout this year was immediately answered by his readiness to face the season next year.
In fact, the racer from the RMS SINGHA PERKASA team will participate in the new class, namely M.2, for the first time, from previously Leon occupying the F.3 Class. The latest ammunition has also been prepared.
The M.2 class itself is said to be a very competitive category, considering that the competition uses cars that adopt above average specifications with a 4 wheel drive (4WD) system.
For this reason, one of the ammunition that has been prepared, namely Leon, will use the Mitsubishi Evolution 8, with totally upgraded specifications plus a more capable engine.
“We have prepared the car for next year so that it is better, because this is the first time we are in the M.2 class after moving from F3,” he said in an official broadcast, Thursday (14/11).
Armed with a vehicle that is commonly used in various rally events and is famous for its ‘recalcitrant’ engine, Leon is quite ‘confident’ about competing in the coming season.
Moreover, support from the newest sponsor from the national fertilizer company, namely SINGHA PERKASA NUSANTARA, which is said to be the first time it has entered the Indonesian motorsport rally event.
“We feel that the support provided by the National fertilizer company really gives us enthusiasm to conquer the competition in the M.2 class,” explained Leon.
In facing next year’s rally season, Leon has entrusted Zaimi Nurdy as co-driver to navigate a series of national rally championships and sprint rallies for the 2025 season.
Regarding the competition map in the class he will compete in next season, Leon admitted that it will be more fierce because it is filled with strong National racers.
“All racers will certainly give their best performance in pursuit of points for the championship in the next season,” concluded Leon. (dpid/TH)
