The Epic Games Store traditionally offers a free game this week as well. Last week you were able to get the puzzle game Snakebird Complete as well as the Castlevania Anniversary Collection for free. There’s only one title available this week, but it’s all the more interesting. You will find yourself in a totalitarian state where your primary task will be to protect this regime.
Get Beholder absolutely free
As we hinted at in the introduction, this week Epic is offering only one title for free download. Specifically, it is a game called Beholder. This adventure game was released in 2016 by Warm Lamp Games. So it is definitely not a novelty, nor a title that would be widely distributed. However, this does not detract from its quality.
The game Beholder is set in the environment of a totalitarian regime and you become the whistleblower. For example, your task will be to monitor neighbors or place listening devices. To make it not boring, you will also directly prevent anti-state activities and, like a good whistleblower, you will report everything that goes against the regime.
Good rating
Although not a mainstream title, it is a game that has received positive reviews from users. Its qualities are evidenced by the 91% rating the game received on the rival platform Steam. The game also has a sequel, and maybe Epic will offer the remaining parts in time. The second part was released in 2018 and was followed by the third part from 2022.
Download before it’s too late
Beholder is a single player game only. It will be free on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, November 28 at 5 p.m., when it will be replaced by another title. We’ll see if Epic will be more generous next week and give us two games instead of one. Download Beholder on this link.
