Empyrion – Galactic Survival
Like every week, the popular Epic Games store is giving away a free game this week. This time we got two titles that are sure to come in the upcoming, probably rainy weekend, handy. In them, we will go into space, where we will survive in an unknown galaxy and get a taste of dark African mythology.
Empyrion – Galactic Survival
We’ll start with this space sandbox, which was released in 2020, although the game has been in early access since 2015. The game offers an open world (or rather space) and is a survival title, so your main mission will of course be to survive at all costs.
But here you will not survive on a deserted island or somewhere in the jungle, but in an unknown galaxy, and this is one of the most extensive titles within the genres. You will find food, but also repair ships, build bases and fight against enemies. In short, a cosmic Robinson Crusoe.
Outliver: Tribulation
Outliver: Tribulation
In this game too, you will try to survive, but not in space, but in an ancient empire inspired by African mythology. Outliver: Tribulation combines elements from classic survival games, horror and also from the souls-like genre, so it doesn’t give you anything for free.
The game was released last year and flew more or less under the radar, although it offers a very dense atmosphere, decent graphics and users evaluate it generally positively. If you like single-player story games with an interesting and unexplored setting, definitely give Outliver a try.
You have a week to download
As always, you have a week to download these games for free. They will be available in the Epic Games Store menu until next Thursday, more specifically until 17:00, and then they will be replaced by another free game or games.
