Seiko Epson Corporation launched its first inkjet printer with high-capacity ink tanks in Indonesia in October 2010. By 2024, these printers have already been sold in about 170 countries and regions. The total number of Epson printers with large capacity ink tanks sold worldwide has currently exceeded 100 million units.
Epson high capacity ink tank printers have been developed based on the needs of developing economies. The driving force behind their development has been innovation that transcends conventional design and conventional sales methods. Since their launch, Epson has changed the business model for printers and has become the market leader in high-capacity inkjet printers.
Currently, printers with large capacity ink tanks account for approximately 45%(1) of supplied devices on the market of office and home inkjet printers. Epson continues to maintain its number one (1) position in the global high-capacity inkjet printer market, thanks to its wide product offering and strong brand reputation. The company achieved this success due to the popularity of Epson printers with large capacity ink tanks among customers. Customers appreciate not only lower printing costs and less frequent replacement of ink cartridges, but due to the growing awareness of the environment in recent years, they also appreciate that these printers produce less waste and use fewer resources for consumables and other items.
Marcel Divín, National Sales Manager of Epson Europe CZ & SK, stated: “Above all, we would like to express our deep gratitude to all those who have purchased our high-capacity ink tank printers. These printers are significantly different from conventional cartridge models in terms of design and sales, so we faced many challenges in their construction. But because we really wanted to enable customers to print without any delay, all the parties involved came together and managed to bring this product to market. The advantages of high-capacity ink cartridge printers – low printing costs, minimal ink replacement problems and low environmental impact – have led to their widespread worldwide use in everything from business to teaching children. Going forward, we want to continue to strive to deliver the unique value that only Epson can offer through printing.”
