New link checker – this application improvement ESET Mobile Security for Android devices strengthens Anti‑Phishing blocking potential phishing attacks coming from websites or domains that ESET registers in its threat database. Link checking allows ESET Mobile Security to check every link a user tries to open, not just links from supported websites and social networking applications. For example, if a user receives a phishing link in a game application and opens it, the link will first be redirected to the ESET Mobile Security application, where it will be checked, and only then will it be opened in the browser. If the user is also using an unsupported browser, the Link Checker function will block the malicious link. The whole process takes place in the background and does not reduce the comfort of opening legitimate links.
Improved game mode – this function is intended for users who want to use their game or other software continuously without displaying pop-ups and want to minimize the use of the processor. The improved version allows users to create a list of apps that will automatically launch Game Mode when opened. Users who pay attention to security while playing can use the new option of displaying interactive notifications during the running game mode.
Improved Password Manager – ESET Password Manager now includes the option to remotely log out of a password management account when a user is logged in on multiple devices. Users can check their password in the list of leaked passwords and see a security message warning about the use of weak or duplicate passwords in saved accounts. Password Manager also has an integrated ability to use third-party programs for optional two-factor authentication (2FA).
