Estoril wins away at Estrela’s expense

Estoril achieved their first away victory in the current edition of the I Football League, prevailing 4-2 over Estrela da Amadora, in a game in the 17th round of the competition.

At the José Gomes Stadium, in Reboleira, Estoril, who hadn’t won in four games, reached half-time leading 3-0, after Xeka opened the scoring in the 15th minute, Begraoui scored in the 25th, and benefited from an own goal from Tiago Gabriel, at 31.

In the second half, Estrela da Amadora reduced the deficit, with goals from André Luiz, at 57, and Rodrigo Pinho, at 70, and Estoril closed the result through Alejandro Marques, at 76.

The triumph allows the Canarinhos to add 18 points and move up to 12th place, equal with Gil Vicente (11th), in exchange for today’s opponent, who continues with 16, in 13th place.
