ETERNALa love story tested by a threat that could mean the end of the world, navigates the interplay between climate change, human choices and their consequences, creating a narrative rich in symbolism that captivates audiences.
The young researcher, Elias (Simon Sears), falls in love with the aspiring singer, Anita (Nanna Oland Fabricius). When the opportunity arises to join a mission to investigate a strange phenomenon that could cause the end of the world, he chooses to pursue his career ambitions over his relationship. Years later, during the special mission, Elias is overwhelmed by a vision of what his life would have looked like if he had chosen differently.

ETERN is an inverted space odyssey where we travel to the center of our characters and planet alike to come face to face with our dreams, hopes, regrets and the most important choices we have to make in life. With this story I intend to translate the language of love into a cinematic work. Ula Salim is a talented director and screenwriter from Denmark, known for his impactful feature film debut Sons Of Denmark – 2019 (Best Film at Cairo and Riviera International Film Festivals). His short film Ung For Evigt / Young For Forever (2012), similarly to ETERNAL, explores the intensity of first love.
ETERNAL had its world premiere at Rotterdam International Film Festival 2024in the Competition for the Big Screen, also part of Official Selection a International Film Festivals of the Gothenburg and Neuchâtel.
The film will be released in cinemas in Romania on November 29distributed by August Film.
