O surplus in the balance of international trade in goods increased, in September, to 12.5 billion, compared to the previous year, of 9.8 billion eurosaccording to data released this Monday by the Eurostat.
Exports of goods from the euro area to the rest of the world increased, in September, by 0.6% to 237.8 billion euros and imports from third countries fell by another 0.6%, to 225.3 billion euros , in relation to the same month in 2023.
As regards the European Union (EU), the positive balance of the trade balance for goods rose to 9.6 billion euros compared to 7.3 billion in September 2023. Sales of EU products in third countries had annual increase of 0.8%, to R$212.6 billion, and imports slowed by 0.3%, to R$203.1 billion.
