Everything we know about the processors and specifications

While all eyes are on the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, where the new Galaxy S25 phones will be unveiled, Samsung is simultaneously working on a series of new tablets that will hit the market later this year, or at worst early 2026.

According to the latest information, the company is developing three different models, and details about their processors have already reached the Internet.

Galaxy S10 FE tablets: Cutting edge technology

The range will include two models – the basic version and the Plus -, both of which will be equipped with the Exynos 1580 processor, manufactured in 4 nanometer technology.

This chip was launched by Samsung Foundry in October 2024 and promises superior performance over its predecessor Exynos 1480.

The processor can reach frequencies of up to 2.9 GHz and includes a Samsung Xclipse 540 GPU, as well as dedicated AI functions. The same processor is expected to debut on the Galaxy A56 5G first. Both the Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ will be available in Wi-Fi only or 5G cellular connectivity versions.

Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro: A rugged tablet

In addition to the Fan Edition models, the company is also preparing this model, the direct successor of the Tab Active 5 launched last year.

It will benefit from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, announced in the second half of 2024, which can run at frequencies of up to 2.5 GHz. It includes advanced gaming technologies and local artificial intelligence.

Compared to the Tab Active 5, which used the Exynos 1380, and the Tab Active 4 Pro with the Snapdragon 778, the new processor will bring performance improvements. As with the previous models in the series, it is expected that the Tab Active 5 Pro will be available both in Wi-Fi version and with an integrated 5G modem.

The timing of the release of the new Galaxy Tabs remains a mystery

Samsung has not yet confirmed the exact date when these tablets will be officially unveiled.

The company does not follow a strict annual release cycle tabletsevidenced by the fact that the Galaxy Tab S9 series debuted in July 2023, and the successor in September 2024.

Given that the S9 FE and S9 FE+ were launched in October 2023, and their predecessors the S7 FE in the summer of 2021, it is possible that the new models will be revealed towards the end of this year or even in early 2026.
