Expensive gadget with which you too can become a mountain racer

Although Bentley is best known for its cars that combine British princely luxury with sportiness (of course it has luxury accessories, perfumes, and even real estate), the brand also boasts a serious motorsport pedigree.

One such line is the participation in the world’s most famous and toughest hill climb race, Pikes Peak in the United States. time.


Since then, the manufacturer from Crewe has brought out its most extreme, but also the most environmentally friendly model with its 85% biofuel consumption, the Bentley Continental GT3 Pikes Peak racing car, and now it is also launching the gamer accessory inspired by it.

Car simulator enthusiasts can get an exclusive steering wheel with a host of technical goodies in the form of Fanatec’s Bentley GT3 Podium Steering Wheel, created in collaboration with the industry’s big gun.

Created under the supervision of the Bentley Motorsport Team with the help of the brand’s Pikes Peak driver, Rhys Millen, the racing steering wheel has a diameter of 310 mm and in the center is a circular, automatically leveling 3.4-inch display. The frame of the steering wheel is made of ultra-light magnesium and carbon fiber material with green fibers, and the buttons and dials are machined pieces of aluminum with the grip pattern used in real Bentleys.

The buttons and wheels are backlit, and the mechanism for mounting and dismounting is also the QR2 Pro Wheel-Side technology used in real racing cars.

On the back of the simulator steering wheel, there are a total of six tabs with magnetic operation: two for gear shifting, two for clutching, and two for various individually adjustable functions.

At the suggestion of the already mentioned Millen, the optional handle to help turn the steering wheel, the “Pikes Peak Grip”, was also added to the device.

The simulator steering wheel also comes with a table and wall bracket made of aluminum.

The exclusive gaming steering wheel is available at a net price of 1,999.95 euros, i.e. HUF 820,000 are offered.
